When it comes to producing a grassed area on top of roofs and other decks (flat green roof), TeMa Building membranes and geocomposites — featuring different compressive strength attributes and drainage capacities to cope with high and low loads — perform admirably in providing mechanical protection for waterproofing and, by virtue of the action of the geotextile, also serve the type of functions typically associated with this type of application: filtration, separation, and rainwater drainage and reservoir purposes. Not to mention surface erosion control where roofs have a considerable pitch.

Their inherent properties and ease of installation mean work can be performed perfectly in shorter timeframes and with reduced costs. In addition, the quality of their component materials means the structure lasts longer: hence all the benefits that green areas bring to urban settings are sure to be long lived.

For flat green roofs, the choice of solution depends on the roof deck's load capacity. TeMa also has a range of complete green roof packages with reduced build-ups without the bulk, with resulting advantages in terms of weight, costs and maintenance.
